Every fall, a heartwarming tradition unfolds for the Tanner family at the Ronald McDonald House in Albany. Eight years ago, tragedy struck the Tanner family, leading them to stay at the
Ronald McDonald House in Albany due to the passing of Hanna's sister. During that challenging time, they experienced firsthand the comfort and support that the Ronald McDonald House provides to families in the midst of medical crises. The compassion they encountered left an indelible mark on their hearts. Their second visit to the Albany Ronald McDonald House, prompted by a family member's hip surgery, further deepened their appreciation for this haven of support.
Hanna and her family saw an opportunity to give back to the place that had been a source of solace during their darkest hours, embracing a new tradition of becoming the creative force behind the Albany Ronald McDonald House's fall decorations. When asked why they chose this particular way to give back, Hanna explains that they initially sought volunteer opportunities within the Ronald McDonald House; but, encountered age restrictions for certain activities, such as cooking dinners for the families. Undeterred, they were determined to find another meaningful way to contribute as a family.
