Attendance Reminders

If your child is absent for any reason:

  • notify the school by phone or email no later than 9am each day the student is absent.

  • send in a written excuse signed by a parent/guardian with your student when they return to school.

  • include the reason for the absence, the date of absence, on a note signed by a parent/guardian.

  • a new note is required for each absence period.

Alternatively, elementary school families may email attendance notes to esattendance@greenvillecsd.org. 

Please note, Board Policy requires written excuses for absences. An absence, tardiness or early departure shall be assumed to be unexcused until school attendance personnel have received written notification.
