The Quack Quack Greenville Committee is a group of four people bringing back the painted duck statues. The group operates under the umbrella of Community Partners of Greenville and are using the ducks as a year-long fundraiser. Money raised goes toward renovating Prevost Hall with the goal of creating a community center for the town.
Angela Mauriello, a member of the committee, shared “We had over 40 artist submissions and of those, a GCS student was chosen to paint one of the 20 ducks that will be displayed in the town through the Spring and Summer of 2025. They will then be auctioned off in the fall.” Molly Klob, a GHS senior, was one of the artists selected.
The group is having an Artist and Sponsor Event on November 9 where artists will be matched with one of the 20 chosen artists who will be painting the ducks. More information can be found at cpog.org/events or the Facebook page Quack Quack Greenville.
Mauriello shared “We want to thank Gale DellaRocco for having students submit entries, as well as Kristy Goergen and Mike Bennett for allowing us to include the school.”
Congratulations, Molly!
