Greenville Central School District will begin using the Raptor Visitor Management System to strengthen campus safety. With this system, all new visitors must show a valid form of identification to the attendance secretary who will scan the ID into the Raptor System. The system will check the ID against the New York State Sex Offender Registry and our internal databases.

Once cleared by the system, it will print a visitor badge that you are expected to wear for the duration of your visit. Since all adults in our buildings wear staff ID badges, these visitor badges prove to students and staff that you checked in with the main office and that you are a verified guest on our campus. The badge includes your name and ID photo, as well as the time you entered and your destination.

Once you scan your ID into the system, your name and photo will remain in our local system for your next visit, this way you won’t need your ID again. Even without rescanning the ID, the Raptor System will recheck the person against the databases each time they enter the school. The whole process takes less than 60 seconds, and it’s time well spent to ensure the safety and security of those in our building.

It’s important to note the systems are separate for each school building. If you have students in both buildings, you will be asked to scan your ID once at each building.
