International Baccalaureate (IB)

The IB Diploma Program is a rigorous and comprehensive program of study that requires students to complete coursework in each of six core subject groups: Language A (English), Language B (a foreign language, either Spanish or Latin), History of the Americas, Science, Mathematics, and the Arts. In addition, all students wanting a full IB Diploma must fulfill three other core requirements:  1) a Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course, which is interdisciplinary and promotes student understanding of ways they learn, 2) a student-selected topic and an assigned faculty advisor for completion of a comprehensive research paper called the Extended Essay, and 3) a service requirement called Creativity, Action, and Service (CAS).
